Split Troubleshooting

Common issues in the split screen - used when drafting a mob/herd.

When you draft or sort a mob/herd of livestock, the MaiaGrazing split function allows you to record this.

My mob/herd isn't available from the split dropdown

If you are in the split screen and have entered the date that the mob/herd was split but the mob/herd isn't available from the drop down, then:

What has happened?

This probably means that the mob/herd was inactive or had a different name on the chosen date.

  • Check that the correct split date has been selected

The date is correct but my mob still isn't available from the drop down.

Check that the mob/herd was active on the chosen date by:

  • Click on the name of the mob/herd from the mob/herd list to open the mob/herd management screen.

  • Click on 'Mob/Herd History'

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the Mob/Herd history screen to check the date that the mob/herd became active.

  • Use a date after the active date for your split.
