This article explains how to record an event that doesn't involve the application of a product like shearing, weaning, mustering, pregnancy testing etc.
You can record the date that you did something in particular with your mobs/herds where there was no corresponding animal treatment by following the steps below.
In this example I am recording the date of shearing for my Ewe Mob.
-
Click on 'Operations' (1)
-
Click on 'Livestock' (2)
-
Click on 'Mob/Herd Treatment' (3)
-
Click into the data entry box for 'Start Date'. (4)
-
Enter a date for the event (You only need a start date in order to save the event. End date can be left blank)
-
Click into the data entry box for 'Description'
-
Type in a name for the event. (5) (Be as specific as possible. This name will appear in your treatment reports later so to prevent having a whole list of – Shearing – Shearing – Shearing use something that will identify each event.)
-
Click on the blue writing '+ Add mobs/herds' (6)
-
Click onto the name of your mob from the list provided or search for your mob using the data entry box. (7)
-
Click on 'Add' (8)
This will show you how many animals that you have available in your mob/herd.
If this event only applies to part of your mob you can change the number of head by typing over the number in the data entry box. (9)
-
Click on 'Treatment Details'. (10)
-
Leave everything on this page blank.
-
Click on 'Application' (11)
In the application screen you can add the name of the staff member who completed the event as well as any other details that you wish in the comment sections. Or you can leave this blank.
-
Scroll down to the bottom of the page
-
Click on 'Continue to Confirmation'. (12)
Review the summary of your event.
-
Click onto 'Confirm and Save'. (13)
This event will now show in your event log.
