After lambing has finished: using the gates feature to mob up
Grazing an existing mob on multiple paddocks/pastures
- From the mob list screen, Click on 'Move' to the right of the herd in question.
- Click the paddocks/pastures that you are moving your lambing ewes to; you can add as many paddocks as you need to during this step.
Your lambing ewes are now recorded on Maia Grazing as grazing across multiple paddocks. Maia will use averages to record your grazing density for this period.
After lambing has finished: using the gates feature to 'mob up'.
Once lambing is finished and you wish to mob your ewes and lambs up together, you can do this by editing the move and using the closing the gates feature.
- From the mob list, Click on one of the paddocks your lambing ewes are in.
- Click on the 'Date' that your mob entered the paddock. This will open the edit screen.
- Click on 'Open the Gates'. Leave the open gates squares blank and use the close the gates function.
All sheep in the Twin Ewes mob are now grazing on Hill paddock. This can be viewed on the grazing chart, where the purple bars represent the twin ewes.
