Split (draft) function for Livestock Mobs/Herds
How to split (draft) stock from one mob/herd into multiple mobs/herds.
Splitting a mob/herd is how you tell MaiaGrazing that animals from one mob/herd have been split (drafted) off or removed from the original mob/herd and either combined with another mob/herd or created a new mob/herd.
Example:
Adding or removing males (bulls, rams, etc.) from breeding stock.
Weaning livestock.
Step 1: Navigate to your Mob/Herd List

Click on ‘Operations’

Click on ‘Livestock’

Click on ‘Herd Split’
Step 2: Splits and Transfers Screen

Click in the ‘Split Date’ box, select the date from the calendar the split occurred.

Click on the drop-down arrow for ‘Herd to Split’ select the mob/herd to split.

Wait for the Mob/Herd columns to appear.

Check that the details of the original mob/herd to be split are correct.

Click on the drop-down box ‘Add to New or Existing Mob’

Select either ‘Add to New Mob’ to create new mob/herd OR choose an 'Existing Mob/Herd' from the list.

Splitting into ‘New Mob/Herd’

Select ‘New Mob/Herd Name’

Type in the New Name of mob/herd. (1.)

Type the number of head to be split into the New Mob/Herd from each stock class. (2.)

Check the details are correct.

Click ‘Save Mobs’

Confirm Mob Split
Splitting into ‘Existing Mob/Herd’

Select ‘Add to’ Name of Existing Mob/Herd (1)

Type the number of head to be split into the Existing Mob/Herd from each stock class. (2)

Check the details are correct.

Click ‘Save Mobs’

Confirm Mob Split
Splitting into Multiple Mobs/Herds

Click ‘+Add’ another split column will be created.

Repeat steps for splitting into New or Existing Mob/Herd.
Click ‘+Add’ another split column will be created.
Repeat steps for splitting into New or Existing Mob/Herd.
