A Paddock/Pasture Group or Cell in MaiaGrazing means a group of paddocks/pastures that you either use in a cell rotation or is somehow distinct from other parts of the farm in terms of soil or pasture type, and so is managed differently.

You can have one pasture group or you can have many pasture groups depending on your reporting requirements.

You may want to track the performance of the different cells/pasture groups over time. Paddock/Pasture Groups:

  • allow for more detailed analytics reports
  • are used to filter your grazing chart

You can change or move paddocks/pastures between paddock/pasture groups later if the need arises.
