Creating a new Enterprise

Enterprises are a way of separating different streams of income in MaiaGrazing.

You can add as many Enterprises as you like – the sole purpose is for you to be able to compare the performance of these over time.

You must have at least one enterprise.

For example, if you run a breeding and fattening operation and want to separate the kg/lb produced and $ between the two, then create two Enterprises - Breeding and Fattening.

This goes for different livestock as well – many will have a Sheep Breeding Enterprise, Sheep Fattening Enterprise, Cattle Breeding Enterprise and Cattle Finishing Enterprise.

How to create a new enterprise

  • Open up the Settings Dashboard (Step 1)

  • Click on Enterprise Setup (Step 2)

  • Click into the data entry box under enterprise name. (a)

  • Click on 'Add New Enterprise' button to enter additional enterprises (b)

  • Delete an enterprise during setup by hovering your mouse to the right of the enterprise name and click on the blue cross when it appears.(c)

  • Click on 'Save & Close' when you have finished setting up your enterprises (d)

 

You are now ready to set up your stock groups.
